Quote Garden
http://www.quotegarden.com/index.html

If you are ever stuck for words, this is where to come. The site is organised into subtopics under two major headings: ‘Quotations’ and ‘Quotations for holidays, special occasions, and nice sentiments’. There is also a ‘Hot Topics’ area which currently includes: gas prices, elections, graduation and retirement.
Read the ‘Site Information’ page before you start to use the contents. It covers copyright, citing and fair use. Basically it all looks OK for personal usage and some of the older quotes are also OK for commercial use as they are outside the copyright coverage years.

For your bookshelf

Digital & Hybrid Scrapbooking & Card-Making with Photoshop Elements
Patty Debowski

This book has been written by a long time traditional scrapper who made the move into digital and has established a hybrid style as well. Her book has been created following her move into teaching and finding nothing suitable to use as a reference or text for her learners.

Her website has full information about the book, lists its table of contents and has details of where it can be purchased. The book is written for Photoshop Elements and has updates through to v8.

If you live in the US, you can also check out workshops that may be available in your area.

The Photoshop Elements 7 book for Digital Photographers
Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski

Anything by these well respected authors and teachers is worth a place on your bookshelf or a space beside your keyboard. As the title suggests, this is all about maximising your images and takes you through correction techniques, use of filters for special effects and tips on dealing with the nasties of digital images – colour, noise, lighting…

You can find this book and other products produced by this creative pair on the Kelby Training site.

The Photoshop Elements 5 Restoration and Retouching Book
Matt Kloskowski

This sounds like just the book for those of us who are into heritage album making and have lots of old photos that are no longer looking their best. According to the blurb the book: …shows you how to restore old photos and retouch newer ones to make your images go from so-so to great.

The author, Matt Kloskowski, is well credentialed and respected in the Photoshop community. He is the Education and Curriculum Developer for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. He also authors ‘Photoshop Killer Tips’ that come out daily in video format. You can subscribe to these through iTunes (see here for details).

You can find this book on the Kelby Training site.
